Before ordering, confirm your tank has a 1/4 inch female port and enough clearance under the base for the valve to sit and turn. It also serves as a simple shutoff or air release on NPT lines and portable tanks.
Wrap the threads with tape, seat it by hand, then finish with one wrench turn; overtightening can damage the wings. This is a drain valve, not a check valve.

Good quality drain valve and very easy to install. The 1/4 NPT threads fit well, and the valve makes draining moisture from the air tank quick and simple. It feels sturdy, seals properly, and works exactly as expected. A useful replacement or upgrade for an air compressor.
I had a slow leak on my air tank that eventually turned into a fast leak. This drain valve fixed my problem. It looks like a quality item to me and I would recommend it.
