That reach lets them pull together stacked panels, brackets and doubled-up material that a short rivet cannot span, without crushing the layers.
The dome head and body are aluminum, so the joint resists corrosion on trailers, fencing, window frames and other outdoor jobs as well as in the garage. They set with either a hand riveter or a pneumatic gun.
Because a blind rivet is installed from one side, they suit ducts, enclosures, body panels and gutters where the back of the joint is out of reach.
