When a fan's direction switch stops responding, this 6-pin toggle is the part to swap in. Six short leads are already attached and covered with heat shrink, so the job comes down to matching each wire by terminal position and splicing it to the fan.

Expect the wire colors to differ from the original; go by position, not color, and insulate every joint. Cut power at the breaker before starting. Mounting screws are not in the box, so reuse the fan's hardware. The metal plate measures roughly 0.55 inches across and the switch body is close to 1.12 inches long, which suits cramped canopies.
